Power Rates for the Month of February 2022

Power Rates for the Month of February 2022

NONECO informs its member-consumer-owners that the average residential rate for this month of February 2022 is Php 13.8504/kWh, an increase of Php 2.5146/kWh from the previous month’s rate of Php 11.3358/kWh.

The high increase in electricity rate is generally attributed to the high fuel cost of energy purchased from the power generators, KEPCO SPC POWER CORPORATION (KSPC), and PALM CONCEPCION POWER CORPORATION (PCPC) that resulted in the high electricity cost in the market with an average price of Php 8.9130/kWh. This is reflected in the generation and transmission charge on the Electricity bill.

Only Php 1.6109/kWh of power rate goes to NONECO through Distribution, Supply, Metering (DSM) charges intended for coops’ Operation, Construction, and Maintenance services. Since 2010, NONECO’s DSM rate has not increased which was approved and based on Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) Resolution No. 20, Series of 2009.

For every kWh consumed by residential consumers, roughly 14 to 16 percent only of the total bill amount goes to NONECO. Let us continue to be vigilant in checking our kWh meters against pilferage and illegal use of electricity (R.A 7832), and regularly observe energy saving in our homes.
